Why I’m Starting This Blog and How I Want You to Read It
Introduction: A “Mediocre” Software Engineer
Hi, I’m Kyaw Myint Thein (Joe). I consider myself a mediocre software engineer, doing a variety of jobs in the software world. Nothing glamorous—just learning, struggling, and figuring things out as I go.
Even though I’m “mediocre,” I’ve realized there’s value in sharing what I know and what I’m learning—even if it’s imperfect or small-scale.
Why I’m Writing This Blog
I’m writing this blog to share my experiences—good, bad, and mediocre. Documenting my journey, mistakes, and small wins can help someone else—or even me—grow both professionally and personally.
Writing also gives me space to pause, reflect, and understand my own experiences more clearly.
How I Write
I’ll be honest: I’m lazy 😅. I use AI tools like ChatGPT to help draft my thoughts and organize ideas. But I don’t blindly copy AI-generated content—I audit it, tweak it, and make it my own.
So while AI helps me write faster, the thinking, reflection, and learning are entirely mine.
My Approach to Blogging
The goal of this blog is to connect the knowledge dots. By linking concepts and covering foundational ideas, I hope readers can see topics more completely.
I’m still figuring things out, so I won’t connect every dot. Hopefully, you’ll be able to connect some dots that I haven’t yet.
What I Expect from You, the Reader
- Ask more questions — ask yourself or others repeatedly: “Why? Why? Why?” Curiosity and questioning are the best ways to learn deeply.
- Connect the dots — notice what you know and what you don’t. Use questions to fill the gaps and explore other resources.
- Go further — if something here sparks your interest, use it as a starting point. Notice the gaps, ask deeper questions, and let your curiosity guide you to learn more and connect more dots.
In short: This blog is a space for learning, connecting ideas, and asking questions. I’m not here to be perfect—I’m here to share, reflect, and grow. Follow along, and hopefully, you’ll grow too.
